Ernie the Wonder Cat
Ernie is a rescued tabby cat who lives in Portland, Oregon near Mt. Tabor Park. He lives with his people and his sister cat, along with two additional rescues who are like younger siblings to Ernie. This photography project is focused on capturing the enrichment experiences that Ernie’s people create for their cats, as well as the many expressions and activities of Ernie the Wonder Cat.

The Story behind the Project
This project is in collaboration with my friends and their cats.
Ernie the Wonder Cat wants to share his talent with the world.
Ernie is versed in playing his guitar, his piano, and many other games and clever skills. He’s the leader of his household, and is incredibly happy to be photographed for our project.Â
What are we making? Right now, we’re creating enriching experiences for the cats we photograph and are seeing what art comes out of it. Stay tuned!

Hello, my name is ZieBee (short for Mackenzie B.Bakewell) and I am a multimedia artist, author, and founder of ZieBee Media. My work is inspired by exploring the world, camera and sketchbook in hand, capturing the animals seen and adventures had.
