The Cheetah. Slinky stealth, poised for pursuit, the Cheetah slumbers and explores, soaking in the sun and watching the world. Kept in this home, far from where it might naturally roam, the Cheetah’s stunning grace and agile speed is awe-inspiring to behold.Â

These photographs were captured by Mackenzie Bakewell at the Honolulu Zoo in Waikiki, HI using a Nikon and at the Oregon Zoo in Portland, ORÂ using a Pentax K-3 with 55-135mm lens. Pictured below at the Honolulu Zoo with the Cheetah in the background, c. 2013.
