Budding Friendship at 1000 Acres Dog Park

Foggy fall is the perfect time to explore nature with new friends. 

Going off leash with Ozy is always the best. This outing was made even better by the addition of my new friend, the talented Lindsay Baca from Sit Stay Pet Photography and her delightful Golden Doodle, Louie. Ozy and Louie had already met and done a nice introductory hike together, so our adventure to 1000 Acres provided a great play for them to play off leash in the colorful fall foliage and crisp cool river. 

This illustration is a snapshot of Ozy and Louie’s budding friendship, captures the playful energy of the day and the many critters and plants we saw as we were exploring. Original photographs captured with the Pentax K-3 camera at 1000 Acres Dog Park near the Sandy River Delta about 20 minutes east of Portland, Oregon. The outing inspired the illustration of the two dogs, who have become good friends and bonded over their enjoyment of exploring, running in water, and putting up with their Ladies, who are both photographing them constantly.
